Slippers Jumping

Ansley's slipper fell off her foot as she was sitting at the breakfast table...
Ansley: "I need my slipper to get onto my foot!"
Kirk: "Your slippers can't jump Love."
Ansley: "Why do I have slippers that cannot jump up onto my foot?!" (She then leaned down under the table, calling, "Jump slippers! Jump!")

Crispy Mama

I had just served warm waffles to the family at the table.
Kirk: "Yum! Warm and crispy- just like Mama! Actually, she isn't crispy. She's soft."
James: "That's a good thing because we would eat her if she was crispy."
Laurel: "What!!! You'd EAT me??!"
James: "Unfortunately so."
Ansley: "Toast her too!!!"
Good thing I'm not crispy.
